miela foster
is a Los Angeles–based artist-researcher investigating the patterns that shape the human experience. each piece, is a mapping of one of these patterns, visually revealing the architecture of how we live, perceive, remember, and collectively reimagine.
miela extends this inquiry through her research practice, foster the studio, which brings these investigations into experiential spaces, bridging theory & practice, and ultimately, testing these insights uncovered through her work. through exhibitions, salons, collaborations, and design interventions, the studio creates a network for inquiry, audience participation & reflection on our collective futures.
her work has been featured in SF Bayview Newspaper, Canvas Rebel, and KQED, and exhibited across California, including NeueHouse Hollywood, Band of Vices Gallery, Root Division Gallery. she is also the recent winner of the 6th Annual Leimert Park Jazz Festival Juried Art Competition.
